Can any of you think of an answer to the question though? I don't understand the logic behind the rule, can anyone think of any benefits at all?

A very all-round headphone for me. Just the right one to take on the go or on holiday. Also as a DJ, nice noice isolation. Very durable so you don't have to wonder if it will break if you throw...

This quick review is done after a few hours of listening. I bought them from B&H for the decent sum of 150$. If you've done your research you'll find out that Ultrasone HPs are known for their...

I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...

I didn't think of TEAC when I began searching for a dedicated CD player. My initial short list included Denon, Cambridge, Marantz, Onkyo. The Teac intrigued me, so I went for it. It is very...

The answer to this question has to do with commercial sales.
If we allowed people to sell at a profit here, they would compete with our paying advertisers and sponsors. What would stop someone from skipping the expense of having a real business and selling directly through a free resource here?
Head-Fi relies on advertising dollars from paid advertisers and sponsors. The people who pay do not want to compete with others in our For Sale Forums. The entire point of the For Sale Forum is for members to exchange used goods. If someone could undercut the businesses we rely on by using Head-Fi as a free resource, it would damage the companies we rely on to keep Head-Fi running.
If you want to sell for profit, feel free to contact advertise@head-Fi.org. We'll set you up as a Member of the Trade and you will have the option to purchase advertising or sponsor your own forum.
If you have a problem with this, feel free to start selling on eBay, Audiogon, or any number of sites that allow commercial sales. But you are not going to do it here. If you want to run a business, you're going to play on the same field as every other business here.
A few more things:
1. You know very well that your other account was banned. I was very clear about that when I banned you and I also gave you the reasons why.
2. The thread where you admitted to buying these contained numerous warnings against flipping from Currawong and me. You knew quite well that you were doing something against the rules and you knew very well that you would get banned for doing it.
3. Multiple accounts - especially from a banned member - are prohibited.
