Well, I'm going most of the way up with an HE-6 and EF-5, I'll get back to you on how that goes. This is my first set of Cans above iBuds. rolleyes.gif

The journey is a fun (although expensive) one.  While I regret a few purchases (Bose QuietComfort 2s come to mind), they resulted in valuable lessons.  I'm not sure how much further up I'll go though.  Like a lot of the others here, I'm really content with mid-fi at the present time.  If I start going to meets though, who knows what'll happen.

I'm in low to mid-fi with some Thinksounds and Sennheisers for headphones, and an old 80s boombox for speakers.  I wouldn't do it over again...I'd rather spend the money on the music to pump through the system.  I'm sort of anti-hi-fi, the law of diminishing returns are very strong.

mid-fi here, if I could do it over, I would've told myself to get into headphones 10 years ago, in stead of spending way too much on my B&W speakers I don't enjoy.
