my odyssey stratos extreme  arrived today and this thing about got me disabled , its about 75 lbs .

I cant use it with the he-6 just yet as im awaiting for my draug2 speaker taps  and draug2 cable for the he6 from norne .

used the stratos  on my speakers via decware csp3 preamp -  is sounded ****ty the first 20 minutes ill tell u and then it starts blooming and by the hour was over my jaw was on the floor .

this might be one of the best $750 I ever spent .

Review by DG of the Allnic HPA-5000 driving the HE-6's

Interesting review and it sounds promising (at a hefty price though), I don't know how the amp is designed exactly but OTL/OCL tube amps make me nervous as hell, lots of implementations are a straight road to gear and eardrum destruction in case of catastrophic tube failure.  Out of curiosity:  did anyone try a ZOTL implementation yet with the HE-6?

Which tube amp to choose for he6?

ok I have the he-6 but I can only use it right now with the he adapter as I don't have my cables and speaker taps yet .im using tsock cable at this tiem .

I tried the Sophia el34  tube amp rated 28wpc at 8 ohms -  I have 2 pairs of tubes the sed winged c el34 and the electroharmonics  6ca7 . the electroharmonics are better imo which preserves the top end well with good bass - I use the Sophia volume control at 12 oclock in this am

I also tried the odyssey stratos exteme amp and a decware csp3 pre amp  but I again have to sue the he adapter because I don't have the speaker taps and cable yet - the sound on this one is excellent and very dynamic - all frequencies are so good and a lot of air . the highs at times  are very pronounced but I believe the draug v2 cable will make this better .

you need mo powa :D
try a 70+ watt amplifier with the he-6 and then determine whether changing cables should have top priority

Mate, I got one too last week. Please post any and all impressions once you get the speaker taps. I have the latter but the amp needs to come to India. Might take 3 weeks
