Yes, I have dealt with brunk couple of times & also have exchanged a lot of PM's with him on various matters. He has always been exemplary & courteous in his transactions. Hence am worried about him & hope he is OK.

The F3 sounded a little thin to me, and I felt there was some lack of bass.  Great detail.  I don't listen very loud and don't push things to extremes, so never had a problem with clipping.

Part of the problem could have been that my ARC Ref 5 preamp has a recommended minimum output impedence of 20 kohm and the F3 has in input impedence of 10 kohm.  A bigger problem for me is upgraditis!

So do you have a phone number for brunk ?  Thanks

Sorry, I don't. I had intended to exchange contact info with him and released the next day I hadn't done so.

I had commissioned one to be built as well and was curious, what was the total number of F5 clones he had in the works?

+1 for a Robinette box and a customised  F5 amp commission.

To everyone concerned:  I have obtained his address and phone number, am in the process of trying to contact him in order to find out what EXACTLY is going on and suspend judgment until I have something more definite.  Hopefully this weekend or latest beginning next week.  I propose to keep discussion out of this thread for the time being, those who have something on order can -if they want to- send me a short pm and then I'll copy you all in an update as soon as I have news.

Thanks for keeping it classy!

Not surprising since the F3 will only swing about +/- 13 V peak.  Its just not designed to drive high impedance loads.

The Pass 30.5 sure sounds pretty good!

i was drooling over those Pass amps recently. Have you been able to compare your Pass to any other amps for the HE-6?

Yeah, I bet!  I'd love to hear one one of these days.  Bucket list worthy!

Not yet, Awaiting the arrival of my Stratus, but this will likely not have enough juice to drive them adequately and I am planning on using the Stratus with my HD800s.  I would love to step up to the 30.8, but that is unfortunately not in the budget!

Good amp for HD800. Not optimal for HE6.

BTW, has anyone of you heard Agd Master 3 with HE6?

Oh yes, I have.

It sounds great.  More on the intimate / warm side (a very good thing) than dead nuts neutral.
