Amps that can drive the HiFiMan HE-6 planar headphones - Page 133

Me? I may get some 300B luv in the coming months but went in a slightly different direction earlier this summer. If I recall, the 300B was originally designed for cinema in the golden age.

I'm now using a Siemens based F2a tube amp (push-pull). Glass which was developed for German cinema in much the same manner the 300B glass was. My monos send 40w per block...

...my HE-6 is waiting!

I bet that was a good audio show with audio note there. Nice gear you have there!

Mmm, yes I can only imagine the 20WPC of pure 300b sonic bliss with the HE-6. You're waiting on your F2a amp? Send a link of the goods Silent One!

I have the amps, I'm just waiting to leash the HE-6. Been waiting on a new headphone cable. Should arrive from Wireworld either tomorrow or Monday.

Here they are! I bought 'em from Pitch Perfect Audio in Hollywood.

Very nice. They have a wonderful classy vintage look going on.

Ken Shindo is fond of the vintage Altec Lansing gears... including the Green.

Yup!  The F1 and F1J are capable of up to 20 V peak with as much current as you could ever want.  Current amps are a different animal when it comes to figuring out what it will drive.  Purest, cleanest amp I've heard yet....

Why not? The EF-6 delivers 5 watts at 50 ohms.

I think it was supposed to be a joke.
