- Same weekend

- Within 2 weeks

- Designate our own month - National HE-6 Month.

The sharing of notes and details learned could be huge. Of course, I've not yet had my afternoon bowl of Jasmine Pearls. So, maybe clarity is still to come...

That would be pretty awesome.

Anyone else going down to the SD/Coronado meet on November 2nd?

Either.  Use your SE headphones in front and your HE-6s in back.  I didn't read the spec to see how he has it configures though.

I'd be interested to see how he configures it. Seeing as the amp shares a common ground I wouldn't be surprised if the headphone amp doesn't have many parts between it and the speaker taps.

Holy Crap, Go KingWa... that thing looked  like some kind of most epic mad scientist Mega headphone amp! Might b upgrading to one of those [ehh maybe not]

Also... not sure how I feel on saying this but

I find the SE out of my Hm801 and PB1 to have more sound stage and better details over the SE of my Audio GD 10ES2 :O the w1000x sounds dead and dull SE out of the AGD [as do they beyers]

Intersting don't cha think [ofc the Balanced Out of the AGD is most epic! ]

Let me put it this way, when I'm listening to my Portable set up at home... I reach over the the AGD and FooBar for controls xD I forget that the hm801 [line out to] iBasso Pb1 is next to me :O

Really? When I had a 10ES, I didn't hear a difference between SE and balanced besides balanced being louder. At least I don't remember.

The way KingWa designs his amps - you shouldn't.  His engineering is pretty darn good.

It's the differance between driving a balanced can Balanced or SE

the SE isn't that much behind but it's not as... tight. It's lacking marginally in tightness. to my ears it's got a little more decay in the sound. My Dt 880s seems to enjoy a tighter sound out the balanced out puts of my pb1 and AGD

although I think it's more a power issue on the 880 than a fault of kingWa's

That SE is CLEAN, much nicer than my poor M Stage >.> but I don't have any other balanced cans [yet] to really see the diff

still I find the HM801 to pair better with my w1000x than the AGD, could be any increases in sound stage between the two combo's are results of the coloration added or removed

AFAIK the Precision 1 is an integrated amp with a SE headphone output. It's not a headphone amp, but it can be used as one. In that sense it's a speaker amp, but with a high quality (and very high powered) headphone output added.

Try the search function here and in the HE-6 thread. Both have been commented on.

I did but I found little. Basically both doesn't have enough juice to drive the HE-6.

can't speak to the Trafomatic, but the Conductor cannot adequately drive the HE-6's IMO

The Conductor is a Soloist with built-in DAC, and I have that amp. If you search for Soloist in this thread you will find posts by me (incl. quotes from Headfonia) saying it drives it and sounds very, very good.

Had the soloist and agree for that amplifier. It did not fair well with my HE-6.

any one actually have any thoughts on how the EF6 sounds with the HE6, we know that's Hifiman's amp for the HE6... but how does it sound honestly? I ask because it has even less power than my NFB 10ES2
