Regardless of whether you believe burn in is primarily psychological (as I do) or physical (as many rather vocal people here do) I think we'll all agree that there is no risk of damage to the headphone as long as you don't send them a deliberately damaging signal (such as one so loud that you threaten to blow the drivers.)
as long as you are listening to the headphone, you cant prevent the burn in process. i think they restock it on the 20th, hopefully it'll come before christmas.
