Yamaha HTR-5660 headphones with subwoofer on?

Hey everyone,

 

Not sure if this is the proper place to ask but I was wondering if anyone had experience with this receiver and used it with headphones while the subwoofer was still on.  Is this possible?  Do you think having an external subwoofer while using headphones is worth the bother?  I am using a pair of Sennheiser HD-595 headphones.

Might want to try the amp section. My experience with receivers has lead me to believe it is impossible. Usually the receiver directs the entire output to the headphones when they are plugged in.
