Hi all, I have recently completed the mark L mod complete with D7000 wood cups on my D2000 headphones. Currently I have them powered with the Ibasso D10. It sounds awesome, and is quite a step up from my M50's. However I cant help but wonder if i am getting the most of these headphones with this amp, as I must switch to high gain mode and crank the pot to about 3 oclock to get the volume level i want. (Vs the M50's being at low gain and only 9-10 oclock). I was contimplating getting a E9 and using the D10 as DAC utilizing optical from foobar (KS) and cardas mini-mini cable to the E9. Anyone have an opinion of this? will I see a noticible improvement with the e9? Any other amp suggestions? thanks!
