Can I do a cable like this?

cable

I know i can do it soldering the tip to the pin 2,and the ring and sleeve to the pins 1 and 3 but merged. But if I do it like this, I lost the right side. So merging the tip and ring (left and right) will convert the stereo signal to mono?

I guess it cant be done like this, but I wanted to make sure.

Thanks in advance.

Yikes, no. Audio signals do not work like that. You could potentially fry some of your circuitry doing that as you are essentially creating short circuits.
