Ryobi Tek4 Allplay Mp3 player Power Output

I got a deal on the Ryobi Tek4 Allplay Mp3 player. Well, this $70 device was free with the purchase of a $40 Tek4 product. You cannot beat that. The thing is actually pretty cool. The battery lasts like 72 hours straight. It holds a couple gigs and it's basically everything-proof. Oh yeah, it's probably the only mp3 player that you can operate with snowboard/skiing gloves on. The interface was designed for that. Now, I was at first disappointed when I saw the specs after I got it. It's limited to 320 bitrate. Not bad for portable and active, but not audiophile. I honestly thought that I was being a genius and possibly cutting a corner by not needing an amp with this. It's basically a huge 4 volt rechargeable battery with a little mp3 player and a glove workable interface attached to it. I'm still curious though. Does anyone know the power output and or the resistance on this device? I'm awaiting to hear from Ryobi, but I though I would be the first to bring it up here. No one appears to even mention it on the forums. Thanks,

Well considering that I was using MX400's and 320 bitrate at the most, It sounds fanstastic. It's great for being on your feet. I guess I'll just say, it's only added to my life. I can't really give some wine review on the sound unless I had decent pair of headphones with it. I kind of got on here to figure out what I'm going to do. Totally dissappointed about the 320 bitrate limit, but on foot I can't tell. It sounds the same at all volumes so maybe it's pushing juice so-to-speak. I was hoping someone else dissected the specs.

oh..

Here is Ryobi's response:

The output impedance / power is 16ohms, 2X16mW.

what exactly does that mean to someone that knows what's required to drive some of the better headphones. It'll come back to me..Just been a while since I looked at headphone stuff. At 320 bitrate, I wonder if it even matters..

320kbps MP3s are pretty high quality. I can't hear the difference on most tracks between 320kbps and FLAC. Sometimes a slight shimmer in the cymbals that gives it away but that's about it. I'd start worrying if it was 192/128kbps or something.
