Don't know what desktop speakers to get?

I deciding on some speakers for my computer. I'm currently thinking about:

Audioengine A2, M-Audio AV40, Swan M10. I have a $200 budget. I think the m10 is prefect because i can get the midwoofer, head-level. The other 2 speakers are just 2.0. I prefer 2.1 for a more deep bass sound. The other issue is that I'm only using a Intel(r) 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller sound card, so which speakers will go well with my sound card? Will getting a new soundcard do justice, or should i go with a DAC? I also don't have a receiver or amp. I'm just looking for some speakers outside of my logitech x-540. Thanks.

Also I'm not really a basshead, just looking for a clear bass sound, no bloated bass sound. I prefer a clear sound signature.

My rating goes like this : Swam M10 > M-Audio AV40 > Audioengine A2

I believe A2 can be pair with a sub, not too sure with AV40

Getting a external DAC would be better, or you could use a soundcard as a transport for your external DAC (Optical, spdif, etc...).

Cheers... :)
