I just like the lack of bulk. The over ears are just too much for me. I've been using iems forever..so baby steps haha

Fidelio M1
Senn amperior

There aren't very many sealed on ears out there.  Why do you need on ears though?

I really can't stand the video game look of the m80 lol

I don't know what you mean by "video game look" but...

You can't even see them when they are on your head, so I don't see the problem.

I also ordred a pair of klipsch reference one last week. they have good bass but the highs are a little hot, they are going back... any advice would be appreciated...don't wanna keep spending money budget is around 100.00.

klipsch went back and since i like the vmodas lps I ordered a pair of voda m80, I hear very nice things about them and they sound like they can be an upgrade to the lps... what else should I be looking at?

Another thing is I plan on working out in these and I heard that the mesh padding absorbs all the sweat and smells quite fast from that.

Fairly sure the m50 has a pleather or something which shouldnt be too permiable. And you can get replacement pads any time on eabay with leather or something if you want

Hey guys I have sennheiser hd595 and love their sound, but they leak sound a lot.  I'd like to get some headphones with equal sound quality that don't leak, so I was thinking of some closed back headphones.  I watch a lot of movies and listen to dubstep on my headphones.  I don't want to spend more than about $150 or so but I can go a little higher if I need to.

Can you tell me if these are good options?  Or if you've heard them and also sennheiser similar to the 595 how they'd compare?

edit: I mostly listen to from my desktop pc sound card output, but I just ordered an Aune T1 dac/headphone amp from china

Gemini DJ HSR-1000 $72 on amazon

M-Audio Studiophile Q40 $126 on amazon

Ultrasone HFI-780 $150 on amazon

Shure SRH840 $165 on amazon

Beyerdynamic dt-770 250 ohm $178 on amazon

I am considering almost the exact same things, I am considering HD 598 with Fiio e17 or dt880 with no amp. Thoughts, anyone?

They all have more bass than you Senns.  The Shure has the least more bass than your Senn.

The DT 880 is the best can in your grouping.  However, I would not get it unless you get at least the 250 Ohm version and an amp strong enough to drive it.

The other two cans are good and relatively easy to drive.  The Sony is very easy to drive.

You won't like the treble.  It is veiled--more than the HD 600.  Neither is on the bright side.

Too bad. This deal just popped up and it would have been good timing to take advantage of it. But yes, everything I've read about does make it seem as though I wouldn't prefer them.

Not sure if I should ask again but:

I am looking for a new headset for around 200$, either from ebay or an online retailer that ships worlwide.

I mainly play games like battlefield 3, League of Legends, Counter-Strike, and mostly shooters.

I listen to dance and electronic music.

And watch movies and tv shows a few times a week.

Also if possible, they should have a built in microphone, or I will just get a cheap external one.

Any recommendations?

Well for starters you need an open can.  I myself am looking for an open can for around the same price.

Ive found 3 that compete for the title:

AKG Q701

Sennheiser HD558/598

MDR MA900

I will probably get the ma900s though.

Actually, i take that back, you don't need n open can.  The Beyerdynamic DT770 pro 80s are perfect for dance/electronic music and have a great sound stage.  If you get an open can, your definitely gonna loose some bass for those genres, but will be mind blowing for games.  You should check them out.

Thanks!

bumping my post. :) I'm gonna buy this weekend for vacation next week. :)

Definitely. The m50 has much better bass. I have the Superlux 681 and found the treble a bit too harsh.
