Maybe I should've said Msrp because almost none of what you listed goes for that much new from the company. As I stated at the beginning of my post, I bought each of the cans listed (except for the HD 580) new for $200 or less--U.S--all within the last year and few months. Almost all of them can be found in that price range today with a little shopping. For cans that have not been discontinued, the only possible exceptions are the Senn HD 598, which I bought before Senn imposed its MAP earlier this year.and the Sony MDR MA-900, which I caught on sale at Amazon this summer.
Here's the current listing for the HD 558 at the post MAP prices of $170 to $180:
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-558-Headphones/dp/B004FEEY9A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1349466417&sr=8-1&keywords=hd+558
If you can find any used HD 800 that still works for $200, please let us all know. At that point I'll be able to add it to my collection and consider it for future inclusion.post #19773 of 2901110/5/12 at 1:55pmhello! i had now broken M9, and new Xears TD4, Xears i like very much, BUT i want to buy an earphone with more powerfull sound, that will play very hard tracks without problems, also the same or even better isolation then Xears. will youse my laptop, so high impedanse is no problem, i like to listen rock-Prodigy,Rammstein,Korn and etc my budget is 100-180$. help me please! what do you think about: JVC FXT90,JVC FXD90, Brainwavz B2, Rockit R50, GR07 for my preference?

Who the heck buys directly from the headphone company?! Without a single exception, I got each of my Grados and Alessandros new at below MSRP. Only one or two or those came from Amazon or an Amazon third party seller.Who the heck buys at MSRP, unless forced to do so due by a MAP?! Even better quality Senns can be found below MAP from time to time.
Canada has its own Amazon and there are countless more retailers, some of whom sponsor this site and from whom I've bought a number of the cans I mentioned earlier.
As for humor, you need to work on that a bit. And perhaps be open to it yourself--like in the final paragraph of my last response to you.

The HD558/598 are very good for gaming, but they will require you to purchase a separate mic to use such as this
Would this mic be okay? http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone-Microphone/dp/B00029MTMQ/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_y
. I wouldnt mind spending more like 50 or so.

That's the same mic that I linked to. I've seen that mic recommended here as an easy solution to turning headphones into a gaming headset, but do not have personal experience with it. Hopefully someone else can give you a better answer.

Sure--if your recommendation question(s) has not been answered.post #19780 of 2901110/5/12 at 8:28pmHi guys, Im stuck between these headphones- the m30 or harx700/900. I will be using these headphones on a flight, so I'd need the better headphone for isolation, great sound, and comfort.
Some music genres I listen to (Top being the genre I listen to most):
-Trance (Hard, Progressive, Melodic, Uplifting, etc.)
-Chillout music (Downtempo, Lounge, chill trance)
-Rap
-Rock
If you guys have any other suggestions, please let me know. My budget is $60.
Thanks!!post #19781 of 2901110/5/12 at 10:58pm- renishi

Hi i am currently in the process of looking for a new headphone to replace my ms1i as i couldnt use it for long hours due to its brightness, clamp force (i am wearing specs btw) and it is making me fatigue as i use them for 3 to 5 hrs daily (Gaming and music mostly). I am still new to the audiophile world so kindly forgive me for any mistake
I went to jaben-my to audition a few of the cans and i kinda liked the
HD 598 - everything was ok except for its detail which kinda lack its full body feel
ms2i - was smooth and excellent but it is almost as forward as my ms1i (i read somewhere that forward might also be the cause to my fatigueness)
he-300 - the unit was new and not properly driven yet so i couldnt judge it properly. It feels like ms2i but softer (maybe it is harder to drive)
cans that wasnt to my liking was the dt 880 250ohm, the treble is not my cup of tea. HD 650 was boring .... and the staff mention that i need an amp to actually bring colours and life to it. HD 600 is not available as it has been discontinued ~ i couldnt get much detail on he300 vs ms2i and hd 600
I am looking for any cans around $250-300 and would most probaly buy it from jaben although it will be much more exp compared to amazon but warranty is an issue to me.
Any suggestion on which would be the best choice for me?
