I'm just gonna throw a couple suggestions out there, koss porta pro, Sennheiser PX 100-II, Sennheiser CX 500

Not much, I'd say $25 at the max. Headphones aren't everything to me, just something that plays my music well (lots of hip hop)

I'll check out the AKG's when I get the chance.

I've read a lot of threads about the T50p's being a bit too sibilant. Are the DT1350's much different?

They both have a strong midhigh focus. The T50p has a bit of a wobbly frequency response, but has more bass body than the DT1350. The DT1350 is more refined overall, but a bit dry sounding and leaner in the bass.

Sennheiser CX200 thats really the bottom of the barrel when it comes to hi-fi sound. 23 bucks on amazon, so it doesn't make sense to buy it. get the cx500 and get free shipping.

Is this thread limited to a certain price range?

Edit:  This is the Headphones (full-size) area. Please direct more specific enquiries about iems, portable cans, dac/amp recommendations etc to the relevant subforum. Doing so will likely get your questions answered sooner by someone experienced with said gear.

Haha I see where I went wrong asking about the LCD and a few amps.. opps silly me..

While not explicitly limited to a certain price range, most of the given budgets and recommendations in this thread tend to sit around the $100-200 mark.

Don't know if you guys know this but I am very certain that the PC360 is based on the HD555. Same specs, same design.. Probably the same can. SO this is actually is a cheaper

PC360.. You just have to add a clip on mic. As for Bass in games.. I disagree that you can't have bass in games.. I use a Samson SR850 and the Shure SRH440.. Both are excellent if not exact in 3D sound positioning and both have enough bass to get you immersed in the true game sounds...I agree that too much bass does get in the way of some sounds but it ain't nothing a bit o eQ can't handle.. Any one of these cans are better than the AD700 which are too bass light and too spacious for some games.

So I bought the Skullcandy Skullcrushers, which was a godawful idea - I am still kicking myself for this purchase. I needed a new pair of headphones and they were there and hmm.

I'm coming into a bit of money soon, and I was looking for a good pair of headphones to shop for - circumaural, I don't care about look or style or anything, I just want my mids back! I'm looking for something LOUD as I can, but without sacrificing sound quality. I listen to pretty much any and all music - literally, I have everything from Tupaq to Rachmaninoff on my computer here - but I predominately listen to metal and hard rock, stuff in that range.

I'm hoping to find something on a budget, the best I can get for under a hundred dollars, the lower the better. Any suggestions for a nice full sound?

Try this one.. The kicker HP541...It is exactly how you described...Absolutely great cans for the price..$50 and has better

sound than cans 4X the price.. People here will tell you otherwise but I can tell you because, I own those and are literally comparable to many of the top cans that I own.. I couldn't recommend a better can for your needs..

if you want your music LOUD you definitely need an amp, anything even a cheap one will help you get where you want without sacrificing quality. Any cheap cmoy amp will suffice. Superlux HD668B seems to be the fotm right now, and i know they offer really strong bang for the buck and the sub 100 price level.

$500 gets you a lot of ice cream... or maybe a nice custom Beyer Manufaktur cool.gif

Not knowing anything about your music genres or preferences, I say go with a Denon D2000.
