Just wondering if it comes with a warranty?

From the looks of it the cable is detachable which means replaceable, so I don't think I should need a warranty.
If you own this can you confirm? I may need to buy a adapter.
Also, if you bought this, can you confirm a trusted seller?

Thanks,
Hunter

Check out more of that thread. I haven't bought any Superlux cans yet because my D7000 order cleaned by bank out. There are a few people in this thread that should know more as well. PM some of them

Don't get the 668. Go for the 662 series. The 668 is an open headphone, I think the 662 series is what you need because it's closed.

I did some research and the 662 does not have a detachable cable. It is a PITA trying to find a seller for the 668B in the U.S, 662 seems non-existent in U.S.
668B, from what I've read have pretty bad noise leakage. I don't want to take a chance and buy a 662 (if I ever found a seller) and 4 months later there is a short.
I know they have the quality of $100+ headphones, but a bit too much trouble or me to go through confused_face.gif

Any other suggestions?

Many thanks for the replies people much appreciated!

I am leaning more and more towards the Beyerdynamic DT1350's but it's a lot of money to spend on a set of headphones...

Anything better than the Sennheiser PC350 for competitive fps gaming? I'm looking for something with a good mic.

Thank you

Oh I forgot, instead of getting the D5000, you can also get the D2000 + markl mod it so you can choose your wooden cups.

so the PC360 is worth the price compared to PC350? Its like $70 more than the PC350. What exactly am I gaining for that $70 compared to PC350? I know they both have the same mic. Comfort is also very important to me.

Thank you

PC360 is suppose to be the best thing since slice bread for gaming.

The problem is your budget. $50 headphones that meet your needs are EXTREMELY hard to find. I honestly have no other suggestions. The only other one I'd really make is KOSS Pro DJ 100 on sale somewhere. But no removeable cable. Plus, you're spending $50 bucks. Even if you only get 4 months out of it that's less than 4 months of playing WoW costs. lol

There is the JVC RX700 you might want to look at $34.

But yeah, see if you can get the Superlux 662 or maybe the more expensive 669.

Long time browser, first time poster.

I'm looking for a nice set of cans to use in the office while I'm doing work. I'm currently using Klipsch s4i's, but since they seal out noise pretty well, I can never hear when my coworkers/superiors need me unless they come by my desk. As a result, I'm in the market for open cans. I've considered Grados since a few guys in my office have them (80i ,125i, 225i), but I thought I'd get the input of some audiophiles. Here are my music preferences and headphone requirements:

Music: A little bit of everything, but most of the time I listen to house/electro/dubstep (think deadmau5, Justice, Daft Punk, Boys Noize, David Guetta, Kaskade, MSTRKRFT, Digitalism, Girl Talk, Major Lazer, Swedish House Mafia, etc.)

Source: Laptop (Grooveshark or Pandora @ 192 kbps); would never use this for portable music

Amp: None, but I would consider buying one (although I would prefer not to)

Price Range: preferably $200 or less, but I'd go up to $300 if there's something out there that I absolutely must get

Style: Open - I need to be able to hear those around me. Clearly, I won't be able put them on full blast during the day, but I have no problem turning up the volume at night when only a few of my coworkers are still around (or I can always revert to my earphones).

Other Important Notes: I'll be wearing these for several hours a day (I work 12-14 hours a day), so comfort is pretty important

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you are a fan of the same/similar artists I've mentioned above, feel free to throw in your own favorites so I can check them out. Thanks!

With your music taste, Ultrasone is what you want.  Really loving Deadmau5's HR 8938 Cephei on my DJ1.  This model is a bit ugly so you might want to look at the Ultrasone 2400 which is $80 more expensive.

I think they need an amp.

I actually like the retro look of the 2200s. I've never head of the deadmau5 song you referred to, but that's exactly the kind of music I listen to. Thanks for the suggestions!
