Which's the best for cans like the Sennheiser HD 700 or the Beyerdynamic T1? Thanks your help is very much appreciated!

Off-topic question . We're  here in "headphone full-size" section and this thread si dedicated to full-siz headphones too.

Maybe someone should add "Headphones Full size recommendations thread..." in the title ?

Good idea--maybe you can PM the thread starter or "management" and suggest it.

They're the same as the Gemini DJ HSR-1000 witch I understand is available in the U.S.

I'm not so sure that the HD25 would be the best choice for him, considering he doesn't really listen to electronic music, which, I feel are the best use for the HD25.

But you're the Headphoneus Supremus. You know best :P

M80 is cleaner and have a blacker background than HD25, which gives the impression of having more clarity/clearer. HD25 sound more natural/neutral

If those AKGs are anything like their more expensive sibling the AKG K514 MKII, they may be excessively bright and lack a lot of low-end or bass. Which is a shame because they are one of the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn and do everything else so well and are very detailed. I haven't heard anything about the Beyers, so I can't comment. I would look into the Beyerdynamic DT 235, AKG K77/K99, AKG K81DJ, Sennheiser PX-100 ii, and a few others in that price range. If you are willing to go up to $61 for a pair of headphones I would go with the AKG K240 Studio, which is probably one of the best deals in the headphone world right now, it's great for music, it's good for movies and games as well.

So no response at all on my earlier post. I'll try again.

This time i'm more into the Hifiman HE-300 or is it outdated? Will be driven through a Fiio E10 wich I read doesn't suit so well. Might not be a good choice after all. Or should i not worry? I live in Sweden so that headphone needs to be ordered from Germany.

Other choice is the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro Limited Edition. This can be bought in Sweden. And yes it is much cheaper.

Suggestions? Not a fan of Sennheiser tho.

I'm not sure how expensive the AKG Q701 is there, but I would look into it as well if it's reasonably priced. I can't comment on the HiFiman as I haven't heard it nor have an idea of how it may sound. The Beyers seem like a good choice since they are much cheaper. If you can get a Beyer DT 880 for a decent price I would look into them as well. All of these headphones will all benefit from a better amp, but an E10 should do a decent job.

Oh great Audiophiliacs.. I am an entry level Audio head (with zero experience in the world of Audio) I've been lurking and researching entry level headphones for sometime now.. and I think I have narrowed it down to two choices. (My budget was to shoot below $100)

Grado SR80i and Sennheiser HD439

I wish I could demo these.. as it would make it easier for me to decide but I don't have access to the SR80s where I am so I would have to order these online.. while I have access to the HD439s at my local BB (yes ugh. I know)

I listen to a lot of different genre's depending on the mood.
But majority would be Rap/Hip Hop, Dubstep/Trance/Electronic, R&B, Rock,/Metal..

I do have a preference for bass with a hefty thump.. but not horribly obnoxious like those B letter headphones that shall not be named or given free publicity.

Do either of these headphones (both priced at around $99USD) have a better preference towards certain genres?

(So far I am leaning towards the 439s though) I plan on pulling the trigger by the end of this week unless convinced otherwise.

Ouch they we're still on almost the same price as the HE-400. Don't know but it seems like I will be ordering the HE-300 after all. Found a store in Sweden that sells Hifiman, but its at 48 euro more here then if i buy them from Germany. On the DT 880 Edition is priced as the HE-300 from Germany. To bad there isn't a shop in my town where i can listen to Beyerdynamic..
