Laptop Magazine

I recently paid for a discounted two year subscription to Laptop Magazine. I was wondering what others thought about this specific magazine that focuses on mobile technologies such as laptops, tablets, smartphones, optical drives, flash drives, hard drives, bags, software applications, and portable accessories. What do you think about its strengths and weaknesses as a whole?

I find myself commuting frequently so I need most of my gear to be able to come with me. I usually travel to my local public library, Starbucks, New Jersey Institute of Technology, or a friend's home.

I find their editor's opinions to be refreshing compared to the glut of the other computer magazines that mass produce their articles because there is a sincere focus on how trends in the computer industry effect portable mobile computing and its core readership. Of course, they do me too reviews such as the Google Chrome OS CR-48 just like the others do, but they put everything into the context of how something with such potential can adversely effect desktop applications in the future.

Will there be any members here that will subscribe to Laptop Magazine?

Thank you.

Honestly, with all the free information on the internet (that can now be carried around thanks to mobile digital tech), I personally don't have a need to purchase a magazine. I could name many reputable websites (of which you yourself probably already frequent) like Anandtech, Dailytech, Tom's Hardware, and more genre-specific ones such as Gsmarena (phones), Notebookreview (laptops), etc.

I stopped buying magazines. The iPad did away with them for me. I don't like having them pile up, either.
