Pro Ject Debut III

Thread Starter

I wanting to purchae the Pro Ject Debut III turntable.  I have not owed a turntable since 1986 and I eager to listen to my old albums.

I am uncertain wether I should buy the above mentioned turntable with the build in amp or purchase a better quality used phono amp.  I would not want to spend more that $200 for the used phono amp.  For what it is worth, I will be using a Denon AVR 1705.

Any thoughts?

Too be honest, I've seen and heard the new project 3 at my local shop, and I'm not really impressed by it, especially the price.  I don't think it can outclass older tables, imo, even with upgrades.  In some aspect, it comes down to catridges.

I'm a bit confused by your question.  Do you already have a turntable and looking to either buy a new turntable or are you looking to buy/build a new phono pre-amp?
