Same here. My iPod Classic's HDD died back in November... so it's been a long wait for the X3. My iPod can hold a maximum of TWO albums without the HDD giving out, so I've been swapping songs every day since.

Please, FiiO. Give us a sign that the X3 is really coming soon.

James told me via PM that release is now April for China, and June for the rest of the world.
 

JUNE!!!! its too long....but if thats the time FIIO should take to give quality DAP with bug free UI then I'm ready to wait

My Meizu miniplayer (one famous DAP made by Chinese company) has lots of bugs, with very poor compatibility with MAC.

So, it is definitely worth spending more time on the UI. 

I wish we could use Rockbox on X3...

April is just an internal projection from FiiO. It really depends on how fast they can wrap up R&D and go into full production.

DAC has been mentioned before, Wolfson WM8740. SNR won't come out till final production is ready.

I think they've chosen all the right compromises and like that they aren't rushing it. We just need to wait for the results,

I checked the Wolfson website, apparently WM8741 has a better spec. than Wolfson WM8740.

Err. no. Forget where I read it, but some engineer actually took the time to look into both and conclude that there is no significant difference between the two. Whatever improvement WM8741 has is mostly on paper.

As said, It has been 100% confirmed by FiiO that X3 will use WM8740.
