UE super fi. EB compared to triple fi 10

Believe me they're nowhere near the same. Very few IEMs can match the "oomph" of the EBs (Especially when put into a custom-fit shell).

The EB's sound downright muddy compared to the Triple.fi. The midrange and highs both are severely lacking in the EB compared to the Triple.fi.

To summarize, when switching from the EB to the Triple.fi, you will encounter much richer and detailed mids and highs (synth keyboards and piano-based house trance sound a lot less "grungy"), but you will lose a *lot* of the driving "unce unce unce" sound from the track. Instead of a solid, powerful beat, it will be more like a "pop", since the tapping sound heard in most drum beats used in trance music on the bass becomes more detailed while the low-frequency leading up to the tap is less apparent.

I'm like you in that I love electronica and house trance, but also love classical music. I can't really be fully satisfied listening to one or the other on the opposite headphones. The two IEM's suit two different purposes and while each can do either type of music, neither can fully replace the other.

In the end for me it came down to what I was listening to *more*, which was trance and hip-hop at the time. So I stuck with EBs and put them in a custom shell (because the stock fit of EB's was just terrible to me).
