Hi, I have a laptop that has Realtek HD audio software. Not sure exactly what the sound card is. It has a line in. I have my ps3 connected to my TV through HDMI (audio and video). Then I have an RCA cable connected to the TVs audio out which goes into my laptops line in. Is this okay? I have my laptop (win 7 64) set to "listen in" on the line in in realtime. And I have my headphones connected to headphone jack while listening in. Is there software that will encode the line in (Dolby, DTS etc.)? Becuase I guess the signal is not being encoded now?
