This is one of the first times that I don't mind if the first batch is small........
in all selfishness of course.
Would someone mind explaining the differences between this new model and the Slim?
All I can come up with are the obvious:
The Power will be a better match for higher ohm headphones.
The Power is a bigger form factor.
The Power will run longer on a charge when paired with a low ohm head phone.
Which one do you think would be better for Vmoda M100?
Thank you!

Hey all,
I am really interested in this amp to run my AKG K701 from my iPod. A few newb questions: how do people find having all the connections at one end (that is out of iPod and in/out of the amp) what is the best connection cable to use?
What are the best batteries to use in these?
Justin, If I do want to order one in the pre order (yes tic toc) do I do it through here or through Adictited to Audio in Aus?
Cheers,
Sergio

Today/tomorrow are the LAST days you can place orders at the pre-order price (http://www.headamp.com/order/picopower.htm). But, for any late-comers, i will end the pre-orders in a non-traditional way, by increasing the price $25 each day, until the regular price is reached. So there are still savings available

Justin Im about to call AtA and place my pre order. That dont pics of the colours listed. I also checked your website and bit hard to tell from the Slims etc. Can you post some clear pics of the Orange, Grey and silver.

Edit: I Just called AtA to discuss placing my order to make the cut off, which I just did and payed for, but I would have to confirm the colour.

The Slim as far as I know is aimed at sensitive IEMs. The Power is designed to have enough power, literally, for most full-size headphones.

It seems like some would be tempted to buy the Power even for low(ish) impedance, high to moderately sensitive headphones / IEMs, but I think that would be rather silly. I'd be worried that the Power's usable range of volume with those would be too narrow. Justin offers 3 portable amps to choose from for a reason.
Also, I'd just like to say that his amps are rather sexy
