Tubes for Woo Audio WA6 - With AKG 702 - Looking for "Magic"

There are a lot of great threads about tubes rolling options for a WA6.   It's great that I can spend hours trying to figure out which tubes to buy, based on all the options. All the choices.

But I am hoping to get straight to the chase and identify the rectifier and power tube combinations that you all know "make magic" with WA6 + AKG 702...  with magic being defined as lush, organic tubey sound.  (thinking of my old Manley 300B mono blocks).

On the pricing side, I can't break the bank and spend more than $100 right now.  Looking for great value tubes that make a big difference.

Thanks ya'll

I'd suggest the 6FD7 if you want a warmish sounding for output tubes. And a Mullard 5AR4 for the rectifier.

I am partial to the Sylvania / Dumont Fat Bottle 6EW7. They seem to have a wider soundstage than the Fat Bottle 6FD7 but there is less gain. I doubt if that would be a issue driving your cans. A concern is the size of the openings in the chassis for the driver tubes on the older WA6. The cutout is smaller then the Fat Bottles. I have an older WA6 and I purchased a pair of inexpensive socket savers to raise the socket above the chassis.
