Sennheiser HD 650 smell - Page 2

Just received my 650's today, and I wouldn't describe the smell as bad.  Reminds me more of that smell you get from a brand new text book in school...

Good to hear you weren't as sensitive to this as me.

I had a general chemistry book that was ever so new, yet smelled like puke. It was supposed to (according to the publisher) to go away if you left it outside over the night, yet it smelled like puke the rest of the year. That being said, I don't find the smell of the Beyerdynamic "pleather" to be very pleasant either, about the smell you would imagine from the bottom of a well-used pleather car seat.
