Dac, soundcard or amp? - Page 2

Nice setup Warrior.

I believe you can use one of these.  I use this cable from laptop to dac.  Solid and inexpensive.  I also have the mini adapters but I use this one most of the time.   Here's the link---    http://www.ramelectronics.net/audio-video/audio-cables/digital-audio-optical-toslink-cable//prodPOFT3MR.html

Enjoy!

HeatFan,  Actually the cable I need is an AT&T (ST)-to-Optical Mini Plug which is a hybrid.  I've seen on the net that many people are looking for this kind of cable but none of the posts ever actually say if they've found one.

Thanks again!  I'm going to email them to see if they will make a cable for my needs.

I  set up the uDac-2 with the coax to the Theta and it's working.  Is that just a passive throughput or is the uDac-2 also doing some processing?

I'm very happy with the HRT Music Streamer II USB DAC at $149. I probably won't change it till I can afford to plunk down $1100 for a Dlink III and a HiFace. Plug it in, setup the bit rate and forget about it, that easy.
