should I be looking for some sort of headphone dock? Help

Hey guys... and lovely ladies..

Here is my dilemma,  Right now I have some dt770pro in the mail and i'm trying to get my setup ready for them.  I'm very new to audio so this is what i'm trying to do.

I've ordered both the headphones as well as a Asus Xonar STX and what I want to do is avoid having to reach behind my unaccesable computer several times a day to plug/unplug my headphones into the STX Headphone jack.

Is there some sort of cheap devise I could use on my desktop to plug/unplug my cans into?

If so will this reduce my sound quality in any way?

In a perfect world I would have 2 pairs of cans to make this easier but unfortunately for me the wife cleaned out the bank for some laser hair removal thing. ( was that too much information?)  I'd like to be able to use this headphone for my mixamp as well as my computer without breaking my back on a daily basis.

You can use an extension cable. Plug the extension cable into the computer, run it to somewhere easily accessible, and leave it.

Yes.

The extension cable is most likely your best bet.  Sonically, the shorter the extension the better sonic results you'll get, (less signal degradation)

Dimarzio Extension Cable...

This would be great, though its a little long.
