Any reason to get Beyerdynamic 880dt's if I already have HD 650s coming?

Hey all,

 

Amazon has a deal on the dt880 - $200.  I already have HD 650's on the way along with an amp.

 

Are these different enough in character to make a purchase worthwhile?  My current cans are SR80i's.

Most headphones from most different manufacturers are different enough that owning several at once is a good move for an enthusiast.

I agree with nikongod. The three you mentioned are quite different in sound, with the Beyers being my favorite by a long shot.

I had both and I sold my DT880 to buy HE5LE which much better than both of them. In my opinion and many other people that have listened to all 3. The DT 880 are nice but I prefer the hd 650.
