again another threat about what to buy for a HD600...but I desperately need help!

Hello all,

 

I’m one of the guys who don’t exactly know what to buy.

My first headphones are the HD600 and I desperately still don’t know which amp is the best for my phones and money. I would like to spend about 150,- €. My first decision was the Aune mini usb, which you all know can be ordered in china for a very reasonable price. And then I came across some threads which say to use no ss amp but more tuby ones. A Hifiman EF2 should be the best match for the price.

 

Please help me, I’m lost into opinions and information.

The Aune powers my HD650's just fine, is solidly built, and sounds great for you budget. I would also look into the Matrix Mini-i.

 

I would not recommend a new tube amp at this price point, although you might be able to score a used Head Direct EF-1 or EF-5.

I can personally attest to the awesome synergy between the HeadRoom AirHead or BitHead and Sennheiser combo.  Amazing sound for so little money.

I can vouch for the matrix m stage. It sounds great with the hd 600.
