Yeah, that's Directsound, it used to be a separate component, apparently it's now included since v.0.9, i've no idea where it is in the options though, i've never needed it.

Might be the same thing but I am talking about when I stop or pause a song it fads in or out instead of the abrupt start/stop that I get with Foobar. Not a big deal...just a minor annoyance. I'll look around and see if I can find Directsound in my Foobar menu and see if it does what I am wanting it to do if I find it.

Yes it is what you mean. Preferences - Output - DS: Speakers (or whatever your interface is).
