Will a Ipod LOD improve anything?

I have a mini to mini cable for my car mp3 receiver. I have

Sony CDXGT540UI receiver. Will changing the mini to mini to a Ipod LOD change anything? Also i use a Ipod 4th gen.

If your talking about connecting it to your car speaker system, then no, not really.  Hard for me to say that this connection wouldn't make a difference, but in the listening environment that a car is... then no, not really.
