That link has a lot of good info even if you are not a cable believer.

That's 100% advertising.

Do you also hang on to each and every word as gospel when it comes from the local used car dealer?

I'm just glad it was recognized as sarcasm.  Internet speech tends to bleach tone.

I'm not sure where the "Low Desert" is... but if I ever find myself there, I'll buy plenty of drinks for the both of us!

I believe in cables and even I'll admit that these guides The Absolute Sound put together amount to little more than giant ads. Hi-Fi+ has sadly gone downhill since it was acquired by The Absolute Sound as well.

In what way? I actually prefer the more down to earth style of the the new editor Alan Sircom, compared to the outgoing Roy Gregory.

Back to the guide: With a mixture of ads, comments and reviews, I think it's as good as any for a quick overview of the current cable/accessory scene. With my usual proviso that no review, guide, or forum comment, can tell you what you should buy. It's just a source of ideas. Surely nobody takes every word as gospel truth - especially for what is right for their individual tastes?

The reviews are "reprints" from the original paper-based articles. There's equivalent guides for headphones and others, which I haven't tried yet.
