Looking for some new headphones

I am looking to buy a pair of headphones for travel/personal use, first of i was looking at the Dr Dre Solo HD's but when i tried them out they disappointed me in both build and sound quality. So i then went on to look at Bose headphones, i am looking at the AE2's and i am a little short on cash so maybe the around ears original headphones by Bose.

 

Anyway, i need some help on what to get, what the sound/build quality is like on these things and if there is any other headphones i should check out in around the same 60 - 120 price range?

Pretty much anything will be better than what you've listed.

 

Are open cans okay?

i would much rather them be closed, as i will be using them on planes car etc..
