I think he is talking about grey westone mushrooms.

 

Anyone used Cambridge Audio Dacmagic plus, Audiolab M-dac or benchmark 1 usb (or similar products) with W4s? I want to invest in a high end dac/amp but don't know what to get.

I'm loving the W4Rs more and more. I've just completed 50 hours of burn in (for the heck of it though it may not have done anything) and ran them through a gauntlet of music. All types. The fiddle in Charlie Daniels band the devil goes down to Georgia is crazy 2:30 min in; Metallica's S&M album is amazing, the instrument separation and vocals is just astonishing; one of my all time favorites, November Rain by GNR on their live album gives me the feeling and experience of something I will never be able to do and that's hear them live and in their prime, the piano and vocals are awesome; If I ever fall in love by Shai has fantastic bass and vocals. I listened to hip hop, rap, r&b

I am loving my W4's that I have had for about two years now. They are so good, I can almost take them for granted, but I never will. They are so easy to just LIVE with. No drama, no second thoughts, just pure listening enjoyment. Have never regretted this purchase, ever. I listen to all kinds of music, and to me, the W4 work well with all of them.

Has anyone heard "Hotel California" by the Eagles with these things non EQed? Crazy awesome and I don't even really like that song. Still can't get over Metallica's S&M album with these. Rock is not my favorite genre but I keep going back to it. Soundstage, imaging, and separation rock.

Haha swear I just got done listening to the live performance on youtube. Is so amazing even if it isnt the best quality recording.

Oh man, will all this comment I cant wait for mine to arrive I ordered it @ earphonesolutions last sat dont know when will it arrive here in toronto. >< Im still thinking if i will be needing an amp or dac thou since my source would be a Rooted/Sound Calibrated Galaxy Note 2

They will sound just fine with a Galaxy Note 2.... Check 'up' in this thread on using an impedance adaptor with more beefy gear to make them sound even better, but one of the great things about this iem is that it sounds good out of almost anything!

Spider fan, That's awesome. Yea once it came on, I was quite surprised to say the least. Make me want to listen to other songs I might have not cared for in the past. Feels like I may have missed out lol.

Yea with what sursum said, honestly I like them powered with my iPhone 4S alone rather with my iPhone 4S and E07K. I think you might be surprised and happy just how great they sound alone!

I was listening to songs from one of those link your favorite song threads. A third of the songs werent even in english but still the were a pleasure to listen to due to the quality of the w4.

It sounds great out of my note 2 although I do have it on max or one down from maximum volume most of the time.

That's cool! I've never really been into EDM, but with these it makes me curious to know if I would like it. It seems like the one type of music on these threads that everyone listens to

Im rather intrigue in this one although i have no idea what it does i might just order one to try it out its 100ohm resistor right or 75? but they look ugly plugging in directly at note 2

well i did change the volume output of mine instead of the normal 50db its on 57db now(60db is max) and i already getting the warning @ 60% of the volume but since i change the EQ and use Noozxiode i pretty much fined tune it so even this thing can drive a ATH-M50 at 70%volume
