You can buy international from EarphoneSolutions w/ their current coupon 5days for $375 shipped international. Best of both worlds!

I was going to buy from Amazon because I have an account with them.

Why are almost none if you buying the UM56 custom tips for the W4?  The sound is a bit better to me with these than the universal tips, as I posted a while back, and isolation is better.

Probably down to getting an audiologist appointment/cost.  Then there's the risk of refits, then theres the fact that customs may not be for everyone.  My train of thought almost certainly was that if I was going for an audiologist appointment I may as well get full blown customs instead.

Cheers

But, if one already owns the W4 the UM56 are not a bad option.  I paid $70 for mine, including impressions, from a local Beltone office.  I really liked them most with my W3 which made them sound closer to a UM3X with a little extra oomph at the bottom, and then the UM3X too.  They also sounded good with SE530 and Image X10 IEM, although they made the IEM stick out too far.  So, it's not like they can't be used on a wide variety of IEM out there.

Yes that does make sense.

I have bought mine from Earphone SOlution and they delivere it ASAP without any delay over the weekend, plus that if you buy that from them, you can get 1 more year additional warranty I heard ?

The W4 has been around for just over 1.5 years. It was released in February 2011.

No, the SE535 is only a little more than the original W4. But I think it's fairer to compare to the W4R since both share the removable cable, and the price for the two are very close, same even, in my country.

the presentation of the w4 for me is the best so far for me (my preference)..

like what everyone says they do nothing wrong.. they are very detailed from lows to highs.. and the mids are just right there never distant but also never obtrusive..

from the iems i owned, i just prefer them over it after having enough time with each of them and A/Bing for months.. the arrow 4g is just what i'm missing so far for me...
