MLE, would you consider the ESW9 an upgrade over the Turbine Pro Golds? Or would they just be a sidegrade? I love the signature of my golds. Like I said, I love my bass.

I hope you didn't buy a fake one! There are a lot of fake ES7s and ESW9s on eBay.
i did almost buy fake ones for $30 but the price was way too low so i did some research and realized they were fake
but for the es7's i just bought, the title said "100% genuine" and he had pictures up and they looked legit. there were zero tell signs of them being fake, and all tell signs of the real thing. i'm pretty sure they're legit... hopefully. for $65.99 (plus $5.00 shipping) it was a snag. that is if they are real.i can't wait till i get them

What happened to the ESW9 pic? I was salivating...
LOL, I didn't want to spoil it for others. I think opening the package for the esw9 is fun because they seem harder to get out and the package seems nice to me (of course the box is cardboard). I also see other pictures posted on the esw9 to be slightly off in color, texture, etc on the woodie part. The picture I showed you to me is the most accurate of how the esw9 will look. Maybe slightly off. You will thank me for taking it off
.I'm usually careful with headphones too. Most of mind has no smudge, scratch, smell, etc. and still look new. For the esw9, I usually retract extender first, swivel flat, put headband first into bag, place wipping cloth over cup (prevent scratch), then the hp jack in, and finally the rest of the wire in. The esw9 takes me a more time to put up.

I'll be wearing them around my neck when I'm not using them. :D
Sadly, I couldn't do this with the ES7 because my neck is too big and the cups kinda put a little pressure on it.
Hell, there's no headphone that I could wear around my neck comfortably, even the M50s... so I will probably not even be able to do this with the ESW9 anyway.
post #37 of 4412/14/10 at 6:16pmggajako, if they are used then you may have gotten lucky. If you just did "Buy it Now" or won an auction for a new item, then I'm sorry to tell you, but you probably got robbed. Of course there is no sign in the auction telling you that it's fake. They aren't going to have anything up saying, "It's a scam, don't buy from me." They are going to make it look as appealing as possible. In the car modifying scene, they used to steal legit photos from forums and other auctions, and then advertise as their own. I am sure it's the same for headphones. Good luck, but you better do a comparison at fakeheadphones.com or take detailed pictures in macro mode with your own digicam to compare with other members here,
I had to "buy it now". The seller described the phones as never being used before but it has a scratch on it from shelving procedures at the Audio Technica warehouse. He also says he bought the phones straight from Audio technica headquarters. Plus 7 day return policy so if they're fake i'll just lose money on the shipping. I did a comparison of pictures before I bought them and they seem like the real thing. Or they're really good fakes. Or I just suck.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=220710435238&si=xpKpP7B1wkCbM2pdJHxBkCZGh0I%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT <<<< thats the link to the pictures of the ES7s that i bought.
http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/417148/ath-es7-buyer-s-guide-or-how-and-where-to-avoid-fakes <<<< and that's the forum i referred to for fakes vs. authentic.
according to that forum i should be ok but i'm sure there are some good fakes going around. i'm just keeping my fingers crossed that they're real!!! HOPEFULLY
Edited by ggajako - 12/14/10 at 11:37pmpost #39 of 4412/15/10 at 12:16amI really enjoy the JVC HA-S650's . They are light, portable, and really comfortable. Also, it seals the sound pretty well, unless you are up at full volume. The bass is a little lacking, but the rest sounds pretty nice and clear.

Yeah I know what you are talking about, I don't know how people are able to wear it around the neck comfortable. I tried that with the es7 also and no luck. I haven't tried with any other though. when are you getting your esw9?

Should be in a week, hopefully. When I bought it, it was guaranteed before Dec, 24th, so I'm taking that as the date, though I'm sure it will arrive sooner than that...hopefully.
