Gomez, Joan Armatrading, Mark Knopfler, Muse, James, Kate Nash And Roger Waters.. thats 7, not bad.. weird they're all British.. and I'm In Denver. Go figure

Deadmau5 is Washington D.C.



 



Both were a rockin' good time. Maiden may have been a bit better because of the VIP front row tickets though!biggrin.gif

10. Five Alarm Funk (funk band from Vancouver)

11. Neil Young

12. Chali 2na (of Jurassic 5)

13. Mat the Alien (dj based out of banff, origianlly from the UK I think)

14. Mr. Sofalumpkins & Dr. Funkenchunk (crazy electronic djs. Every basshead should experience this show)

15. The Solutions (local [winnipeg] funk band)

16. Sheena (local [winnipeg] band. Same lady [Sheena] as the Solutions. Great voice)

17. The Foxy Ladys (local [winnipeg] band that does Hendrix covers)

18. K'naan

19. DJ Hunnicutt & DJ Co-op (local [winnipeg] dj's]

 

Those are the ones that I remember. Most likely some smaller local bands/dj's in there. This was the most high-profile shows I've been to in a year. A lot of quality shows came through Winnipeg this year. It was crazy!

GWAR / The Casualties / Infernaeon/ Mobile Death Camp (went to a bar after that show, people though we were bums)

Epica / Scar Symmetry

I also managed to be in the same building as Tenacious D while they were performing. I stuck around for about two songs before I left.

 

I missed out on Infected Mushroom and Paramore this year, which I would have seen if there weren't scheduling conflicts.

Zola Jesus and Evangelista were my favorite shows with Whartscape being my favorite event. i saw normally one or two opening bands at each of these shows if someone wants to figure out how many bands i saw.

Really bad year for concerts for me...not that I have good years. I went to a local Bluegrass festival this year and that's it. I usually hit up DMB every year but this year they decided not to play at Nissan Pavilion so I didn't catch him this year.
