Is there any currently available headphone (excluding current Grado's) that sound similar to the HP1/HP2?

Alessendro ms-2. Really it's just a natural Sr-325 but it sounds simlar to the hp-1000's.

Nothing really sounds like the HP-1000 other than a HP-1000.

But out of all the Grado and alessandro's don't you agree the ms-2 is the closest to the hp-1000?
edit/ well looks like in your review you don't agree lol.

The PS-1 certainly has potential. However if you value the resolution and natural reproduction that the HP-1000 offers, perhaps you can find satisfaction in the Stax Omega 2. Different character of sound, but so far it is the only alternative I have heard to the HP-1000 that I may like better (Other than the Sennheiser HE-90/KGSS) and that includes the R-10. What else is there besides the overrated Audio Technicas?
In the Grado line, the old SR-325 I had with JG drivers and cable had a similar character to the HP-1000 tonally, but lacked the bass definition and overall resolution that the HP-1000 offered.

Hey Rob, I have only had the pleasure of listening to the Omega 2 and KGSS. I haven't heard anything else in the Stax line. I know servinginecuador has both the SR-404 and the Omega 2 with a KGSS and has posted comparisons.
