CD player + headphone amp or combo for Denon AH-D2000 headphones

Hi, I ordered Denon AH-D2000 headphones and now, I'm looking for CD or even SACD player and some headphone AMP...

 

And my quaestions are... Is there any CD/SACD player with good enough integrated headphone amp to feed Denons? Or the sound quality is to bad and I should go for CD player + headphone AMP separately?

I already spent €270 for the denons, so I would be glad if it doesn't cost too much... between €300-600?

The headphone amps in the Marantz players are reasonably good for the price. Audition the CD6003 if you can find one.

That doesn't look bad... Thank you very much. And what would you go for? This CD player for £300 or £50-100 CD player+£200headphone amp?

Buy the best source you can.

 

If you were using a computer with a DAC I might say otherwise. If you were looking at some other CD player I might say otherwise. The amp built in to the Marantz players are better than the average CD player headphone outputs, and the D2000 isn't too hard to drive.

 

That said, I haven't actually heard the Denon + Marantz combination, so I'll certainly defer to anyone who has.

 

If you decide you want a cheap CD player with an amp, you could look at the Oppo players. That would also give you SACD and DVD-A, I believe. I'm not sure what amp available on your side of the pond would be suitable for the D2000, though I'm sure you can find many existing threads on the topic.

Denon AH-D2000 and Fiio E11 sound awesome. Basshead Headphone and basshead low rumble extra amp.
Try 1980's Sparks (tryout's for the human race,change )
Try The Who I can see for miles
Heavy heavy monster sound

No classical music of course , perhaps some bassheavy jazz,StanleyClarke like

The Marantz CD5004 and the Denon D2000 offer good synergy.  I have both...very enjoyable.

I have the bigger brother(8004), and use to have the d7000s. They did have good synergy together. I would say that the amp(which I think is the same) is on par with a good budget(desktop not portable) amp. If someone only had enough to either upgrade their source or amp, then it would be a no brainer. The built in amp in the marantz's will be sufficient until someone could upgrade to at least a midfi dedicated desktop amp.
