it sounds like your mind is already made up. I would say go with your gut and maybe buy from a retailer with a return policy

Hello every one,

I just brought Ultrasone Pro900 yesterday and I just found this thread.  I plan to replace the cable but I don't know which model is best sound improvement. I found the replacement cable from Moonaudio below
1. Blue dragon V3
2. Black dragon V2
3. Silver dragon V3

My questions:
1.  I don't know which model above from Moonaudio is the best sound improvement for Pro900. ?
2.  Recommend me the another brand that better sound improvement than Moonaudio please ?

Anyone help me to comment and recommend me Please.
Thanks to everyone ^^

From what I read, the Blue Dragon ups the bass quantity, and the Silver Dragon ups the treble a little too much.

I used the Black Dragon and balanced them as well. Gave a nice roundness to the bass and tamed those wild highs.

Of course then I got the Sig PRO's and gave the 900's to my nephew:)

My son unfortunately is not s seeker of superior sound. He's an EDM listener that is happy with Itunes at 256 or even youtube streams. I gave him a pair of Audio Technica ESW-9's and after a couple of weeks he went back to the Apple Q-tips:frowning2:  My nephew on the other hand, is a progrock listener who recently bought an ipod classic so he could re-rip his collection in ALAC. He already owned a pair of Grado SR-80's that I had recommended to him a couple of years ago, so when I recently upgraded my rig I rewarded him with my balanced Black Dragon PRO 900's,  and my Ray Samuels' Protector. The quest for "absolute sound" must be instilled and reinforced in the younger generation:)

that is quite interesting. I seem to be a mix of your son and nephew. I listen to edm, but will not add a song to my personal collection if it is not atleast 320 (a few exceptions if the song is that good and cant be found any better). My first pair of non-garbage headphones were grado sr80s. small world!

Thanks for comment and suggestion. I have one more issue about jack screw to connect the PRO900. As the stock jack come with screw for secure but I know that the cable from Moon audio without screw (Correct me If I'm incorrect)

So, I would like to know

1) Moon audio has the jack with screw to connect to Pro900 or not ?
2) Jack from Moon audio without screw .. is perfect and fit ok ? comment please
3) The last question, Anyone here prefer to use the Moon audio cable with or without screw ? The without screw version is OK without the problem ? suggest me please.

Thanks to everyone ^^

No screw.  Just pushes in and fits nice and snug, and doesn't "fall out".  Much better option than screwing in, screwing out . . .   I definitely prefer it.
