Pro Equalizer in a fully balanced system

How would I integrate something like this in a fully balanced system? It has balanced ins and outs, but only one XLR a piece. How does that work in a balanced system? Would I set it up source>DAC>EQ>amp or source>EQ>DAC>amp. I may be using a digital source with optical and coaxial digital outs to a balanced DAC, but the DAC has two balanced XLR outputs, one for both left and right. Does this mean I can't use my digital sources (QLS QA350 and Iriver H120 and maybe a DVD player) and have the system be fully balanced with this EQ?

Lastly, does it matter that much to have a fully balanced system? Does it sound a lot better? I already have balanced headphones and a balanced DAC and am am looking for a inexpensive balanced amplifier, and I figure whatever I buy next should be balanced. Many thanks to anyone who replies.

It's a mono device George. You need two of them for stereo,

It's also not clear if it is true analogue or whether like most inexpensive devices of it's type it has an on board ADC/DAC and does the EQ in digital. Either way you would need to go source(line level), DAC, EQ, Amp.

Balanced systems are used to to eliminate interference in long cable runs and/or when there are high current cables around and complex (non domestic) power supplies. You should not have a need for that in a household setting. Balanced systems are louder (~6 dB) but they will not sound 'better' unless you have a pre-existing problem.

Thanks for the info. I would need two? I better just get a stero EQ. I hear balanced can have better dynamics, soundstage, and speed, as well as a lower noise floor. Some of my components are already balanced, so I am just going to go fully balanced.
