Affordable amp to bring out full bass response in HD600?

Hey guys, I used to run a HD650 through a pro-ject audio headbox mk. II and was somewhat dissapointed with the anemic bass response resulting. Have since sold my HD650, now looking to get a HD600, but want to get an amp that will bring out its full bass potential. I'm guessing such an amp must be quite warm and somewhat powerful? I also don't wanna spend more than £250 and don't want to deal with tube amps(!) I can't precisely tell you HOW much bass reponse I'm looking for - just significantly more than my DT880 (2005) gives me - is the HD600 even capable of doing this regardless of amplification? Anyway, thanks in advance for help...

i got the vivid audio tech v1. i think it pretty good for a little portable amp/dac combo that works well. if you get it, make sure to burn it in. when i first got it, it was dark but after a while, the sound brighten up. if you get it and like it, thank headphoneaddict

I would recommend the Original Master. It has fallen off the radar in recent years but was voiced using the HD650s, is solid state with a separate power supply, and runs $400 new. At the 2006 Can Jam it seemed to offer tremendous performance at a very good price. I like it more with HD650s than the low end Meier amps, which are a little lean in comparison.
