Denon D1100____VS____Senn HD25-1 II

Thread Starter

I have read tons of reviews about the HD-25-1 II headphones.

I have read just a few reviews about the Denon d1100's.

I love the looks of the denons and the audio quality of the Senn's, but think the Hd25's look sort of fugly.

Are the Senn's that much better sounding than the denons?

Has anybody heard both?

thx

I have, Denon's ah-1100 has really nice bass, very full and crisp....

It covers your ears, unlike the hd-25....which is on your ears.

sound is subjective, but I think either would be great!!

depends on what you like.

It depends on what sound sig you're looking for. They're both about equal detail retrieval-wise, while the D1100 has more bass impact and quantity, with a smooth and warm signature. The HD25 is sort of dry and more neutral, with faster attack (they're like pseudo-Grados actually).
