LOD cable for iPod Touch that looks like this:

I want to purchase a LOD for my iPod to use with an E7. I think that a cable similar in size/shape to THIS would be ideal. Are there any other companies producing one for cheaper?

Most of the low profile ones that are made by a company are kinda pricey.  you can maybe find someone in the DIY forum that will make you one.

Bought mine for $25 with silver wire. Punnisher made it.
