Showed this girl I like from school my desktop rig; she loved it. She kept playing Maroon 5, The Script, and Mumford and Sons and said they have never sounded better. We have a date on Friday wink.gif

anyways i showed my school buddy my ma900s when i brought them to school, he didnt like that fact that it was an open headphone, thus thought it was a bad headphone. my other friend who's about 13 (Im 15) thought it sounded really nice, but also didn't like that it was an open headphone either, another friend just didn't like the design of the headphones "they dont look cool" (he loves his beats mixrs a lot)... i tried the mixrs and i gotta say they aint that bad, better than studios, though i dont like the recessed mids, but the bass sounded quite clean and tight.

Lol i told her about my hobby a while ago so one day we were talking about music and she said she hated her crappy earbuds so I asked if she wanted to listen to my setup biggrin.gif And that was that

^I can barely get my roommates to listen to any of my 6 headphones for more than a single son. I figured since we were all guys it would be no problem.

Her father is a bit of an audiophile. He has some nice vintage mcintosh speakers along with a nice receiver. Unfortunately the room acoustics aren't great but it's still a fairly decent setup and he's spent like 30 minutes with my portable rig.
I can't even get her to listen to my CLAS + O2 + HD800

Mine's not that into it, but she could at least tell me she liked my HD800 more than my LCD 2, and that my 009 dominated them both.

 

She'll be more into it once my phono stage comes in tomorrow so she can play her Bowie vinyl.
