X-can v8 problems with noise

Hi

I'm having some problems with hissing from the right channel with my x-can.

I just opened it and checked the tubes. If you look at it from the front the tube on the right had silvery pins and the one on the left looked a little oxidized. I tried to scrape the tips clear but it didn't really help. Tho it hasn't had time to get warm again.

What can be causing the problems and is there a solution?

Change the tubes, looks like you have some faulty up there.

You don't think I might be able to clean the pins?

What tubes is a good pair for replacement. Might as well get something a little better while I'm at it.

Try a little DeOxit on the tube pins. 6922s are thick on the ground -- I'd guess Mullards, Phillips SQ or Amperex, as well as JAN/GE but expect there will be a tuberolling thread on this somewhere.
