Bottlehead Crack Group Buy! - Page 2

Also just to clarify, I had intended to offer a 15% discount to zlobby for the group buy price. At $180 the group buy discount price is actually closer to an 18% discount from the retail price of $219 - a little tighter than we should really go. But I goofed on the math and thus you guys are saving $39 over the regular price. To get this deal rolling I will offer a free Bottlehead badge (regularly sold separately at our cost of $6) to the first 12 folks who commit to buy.

Wow Doc, thanks for the added Bottlehead badge.  I would have ordered one anyway but now I save another $6.

Also sorry to hear about the math issue but great for us.  happy_face1.gif

Ah, math was always an issue for me. I probably graduated from Berkeley with the smallest number of math credits of any physics major that ever went through there. I think most of my homework for classical dynamics was tear soaked when I turned it in. Luckily for me now my designers were math majors when they were in college.

I'm likely in for the amp and speedball, depending on difficulty of the speedball upgrade construction -- I just about scraped through with the amp on its own last time round...rolleyes.gif

Half way through my Crack/Speedball construction.  I read both manuals, and started on the Speedball parts when I got to the plate resistors in the regular Crack.  I don't think the Speedball portion is any harder than the Crack, I always thought that populating circuit boards was way easier than freehanding point to point, especially since I upgraded a few parts on the Crack, and had to "wing" a few connections.

I don't see any issue with the "difficulty" level myself.  I think they bumped it up above the basic beginner level because you have to undo some of the original Crack construction to put it in play.

I have found it to be a fun project, and my first.  My case construction and top plate assembly is pictured in my thread at Bottlehead, same forum name.  I hope to get some work done on it this weekend, not sure if I will finish it though.

You can count me in as well

I want the crack amp and the speedball upgrade

Thanks,

Curious to know more about the details on this deal...I can say "yes I'm in" now...but how soon before we need funds turned in?  That would make a big difference to me and when I can commit (sorry, broke father of 4 at Christmas time).  I know this is going to be approximate based on how many commit, and when...so I guess the real question is how many are in already?

I would also be interested in both the Crack and the Speedball...

Thanks all!

Sam

Hey Folks,

Please put me down for one kit with the "Speedball" upgrade. I understand that if we do not get the 12 for the speedball, it is the regular price. I also would like to reserve the right to withdraw from the group if this thing takes to long! I am going to get myself one of these and don't want to wait too much longer!!

Sweet, it's back on....

Looks like we only have a few more spots to fill.....

I'm in for the amp kit.

Count me in if possible!

Count me in for the amp.  Not sure that we'll get enough takers for the speedball upgrade and I don't want that to hold up purchase of the amps, so I'll just say that I'm interested in the speedball upgrade at this time.

Put me down for one Crack and one Speedball upgrade.

I'm in for the amp and speedball. How much is the group discount on the speedball?

NEVERMIND

I believe the Speedball upgrade would be 15% off, if we hit the 12 person min.
