Found a GREAT drum solo.

It's by Marco Minnemann, from the album "Space Ship One" by Paul Gilbert.

It's very, very well recorded. It blew my mind when I listened to it with my headphones on (Alessandro MS1).

If you're ever looking to test how a pair of headphones does with drums, I'd recommend this. It's unaccompanied too, so it's very easy to test it for just the drums.

Has anyone else ever listened to this?

Edit: also, with it being Marco Minnemann, it's also amazingly good.

When I check on drum sound on cans, I use '6:00' from Dream Theaters' Awake

I'm a drummer, and I hate drum solos.

 

On a positive note though, this definitely is a good way to test a headphone's ability to reproduce drums. Good idea. happy_face1.gif

I only hate them when they're mediocre or worse, but a good drum solo is just art

When you make a post, there's an icon to insert video (on the toolbar)...youtube and vimeo are supported..

 

Regarding drum solos, i like them...and probably a friend who is drummer will give me few lessons.
