What does it take to be considered "Posr Rock"?

I'm wondering this. because Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Sigur Ros, and Four Tet all sound nothing alike, yet all are considered Said Genre. About the only thing they all have in common is a lot of ambient in their music.

Edit: Man, I totally mispelled the thread title. Should say Post Rock.

I tend to go to All Music Guide and their description and categorization of different styles.  Here's what they say about post-rock.  All Music Guide tends to describe music styles more cleanly than Wikipedia.

The gist I get for post-rock is music created with "rock" instruments but focusing on sound and texture rather than melody.

Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven is neat/interesting music.  It was the first post-rock that I got exposed to when a friend said "hey, this is neat".  My Denon D2000 like it (or rather, I like it with my Denons).
