ipod software question please help

Ive been loading many disc to my itunes (400 +) and I didnt want them all to sync with the ipod ,so I choose the manualy set up for the ipod ,my question is how do I manage all those disc in the libary ,how do I know if its in the ipod without really searching for it in the libary ,there isnt an icon or any thing next to song in the libary to tell me that its already there . I went to drag a song that was already in the ipod and it didnt even warn me that it already existed.

Forget it I figured it out ,I have to uncheck them from the libary and choose (only update checked items )

if you drag a song to the ipod that already exists, it does not re-copy it.


It does, however, make more than one entry for it in the playlist you dragged it to.
